Trump go face to face, autumn weather, and “New York Tonight.” === Updated, 6:35 a.m. Good morning on this crisp The first presidential debate is almost upon us. At 9 p.m., Hillary Clinton and Donald J. Trump will face off at Hofstra University, on Long Island. The nationally televised event is expected to draw a “I can’t think of a debate that has had more potential drama,” said Douglas Muzzio, a professor of public affairs at Baruch College. The candidates will almost certainly bring up the Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Trump have Mr. Muzzio also predicted that the candidates — specifically Mrs. Clinton — might mention New York when talking about crime. He said she might point out that, like other cities in the United States, crime is down in New York City, but that trouble spots persist. Regardless of the issues, the debate seems certain to be a spectacle. And New Yorkers will have no shortage of places to watch it: bars and restaurants across the city are hosting viewing parties.
