Names Sites for Championships Moved Because of North Carolina Law Early-round games for the Division I men’s basketball tournament in March were moved to South Carolina, which itself had missed out on games because of a state policy. === The The first- and second-round basketball games, scheduled for March 17 and 19, were moved to Greenville, S.C., from Greensboro, N.C. Greenville last hosted the tournament in 2002 — the final N.C.A.A. event held in the state after the organization banned the awarding of neutral-site tournaments to the state for flying the Confederate flag on statehouse grounds. That ban ended in July 2015 when the state took down the flag after nine parishioners were killed at a Charleston church. The N.C.A.A. also announced locations for six other events, including the Division I women’s soccer championship (San Jose, Calif.), the Division I women’s golf regional championships (Athens, Ga.) and the Division I women’s lacrosse championship (Boston). The N.C.A.A. announced last month that it would move the games out of North Carolina because of a state law that nullified local government ordinances establishing anti-discrimination protections. The law gained widespread attention for its stipulation requiring people in publicly owned buildings to use restrooms that correspond with the gender listed on their birth certificate. Packers Cook said he found the head in a carryout order from Buffalo Wild Wings. The restaurant chain said that it was investigating the matter. “My wife is a vegetarian, and she’s strongly encouraging I become one now,” said Cook, who was listed as out for Sunday’s game against the Giants. FINED BUT NOT FINE Newton, who sustained a concussion while running for a 2-point conversion in the fourth quarter, missed a third straight practice. Panthers Coach Ron Rivera would not rule Newton out for Monday’s game against Tampa Bay. QUARTERBACK CAROUSEL Deshaun Watson threw four touchdown passes and helped clear the way for Wayne Gallman’s 59-yard scoring run as No. 3 Clemson won easily at Boston College, 56-10. Clemson (6-0, 3-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) extended its conference winning streak to 12 games. Boston College (3-3, 0-3) lost its 11th consecutive A.C.C. game. Clemson scored three touchdowns — Gallman’s run and touchdown passes of 9 yards to Mike Williams and 56 yards to Jordan Leggett — to put the game out of reach by the end of the first quarter. STAR IN A SCUFFLE Video showed Kelly, the nephew of the Hall of Fame Bills quarterback Jim Kelly, being restrained by coaches after his brother reportedly took a late hit. Ole Miss Coach Hugh Freeze said he had spoken with Kelly and was not planning to punish him. Cristiano Ronaldo Ronaldo, who did not play in Portugal’s loss to Switzerland in the Group B opener, also drew both red cards that left overmatched Andorra even more undermanned. Portugal was third in its group after two games, behind Switzerland and the surprising Faroe Islands team. Only the group winners earn automatic berths. WORTH THE WAIT Gameiro scored twice after France, the runner-up in the European Championship, conceded an early goal but recovered quickly to control most of the Group A match. AROUND SOCCER
