This is New York Tonight, a brand-new evening roundup of the day’s most important New York stories. More details surfaced today in the investigation of the Sept. 17 bombings in Chelsea and on the Jersey Shore. After three or four passes, an errant kick sent the bottle skittering down the car to the next seating section. Someone there nudged it aside, and that was that. Among the players, there was a moment of gazing into one another’s eyes. Then the smiles gently faded, and we turned back to our reading and our phones.
